The FPUAnet Communications division builds on FPUA’s mission to "provide our customers with economical, reliable, and friendly service in a continuous effort to enhance the quality of life in our community."  Our involvement in providing broadband communication services to the community helps to fulfill both parts of this mission.  Making improved communication services more readily available tends to positively affect the local economy by attracting businesses, residents and visitors.  Providing these services economically encourages competitors to keep their prices low and quality high.  The increased FPUA revenue offsets some of the costs of providing all of FPUA's utilities. All of this is summarized in FPUAnet Communications own mission statement: "To help promote economic development and meet the needs of our community with enhanced, reasonable priced communications alternatives." 

FPUA’s communication services division is called FPUAnet® Communications.  "FPUAnet" is a service mark registered with the US Patent and Trademark office.  This name was adopted because it reminds us that we are part of the rock-solid municipal institution known as FPUA.  The “net” suffix denotes the networking and Internet aspects of communication services today.  In the past, we have used other brand names, such as ispEZ and GigaBand for some of our communication services. Today, FPUAnet Communications is the brand name under which we provide all of our communication services.

FPUAnet Communications focuses primarily on providing services in FPUA’s utility service territories.  We are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to provide state-of-the-art services to new customers in those territories.  Although our services are not presently a good fit for residential customers, we continue to seek a means to meet that need as well. Remember, the goal is to improve the quality of life for all our customers and our community as a whole.
